Ebbw Vale

Sunday 1 July 2012 - Saturday 7 July 2012

Heading up into the South Wales Valleys, the second destination on the Adain Avion journey will be Ebbw Vale.

Ebbw Vale
Ebbw Vale Steelworks
Ebbw Vale has seen a massive regeneration programme since the Steel Works finally ceased production in 2002 after over 200 years of iron, and then steel, manufacture. The iconic site is being reclaimed and redeveloped to bring new and vibrant activity to the area, with a long term vision encompassing areas to live, work and play.

Adain Avion, the massive recycled artspace, will nest in front of the Gwent Archives, situated in the old Steelworks General Offices. The project will work in close collaboration with the Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council's Arts Development team, Newport Film School and local community organisations and groups, including the Ebbw Vale Male Voice Choir, Ebbw Vale Rugby Club and Ebbw Valley Brass.
